Malta aircraft centre installs addressable fire system

Fire-tech of Malta has installed a custom-built detection and alarm system at the new 27,000m2 Aircraft Centre for Excellence in MRO (maintenance, repair and overhaul) at Malta International Airport, which can accommodate two wide-body aircraft and two narrow-body aircraft simultaneously. The specification comprises a 12-loop syncro-analogue addressable fire control panel from Kentec, with the system integrated to more than 1,500 Hochiki sensing and detecting devices, supported by open protocol fire data communications. Remote interrogation and control of the syncro system is via Kentec's View repeater unit.
