CPR guidance document available

Euralarm has issued guidance on the Construction Products Regulation (CPR) EU 305/2011 for members and those involved in the manufacturing, supply and installation of fire detection and fire alarm equipment. CPR clarifies the concepts and use of CE marking, and introduces simplified procedures to reduce costs, particularly to SMEs. Compliance includes a Declaration of Performance as a basis for CE marking for all products placed on the market from 1 July 2013. This should contain a list of all essential characteristics, as defined in the applicable harmonised product standard.
