Premises That are regularly occupied by large numbers of people, including tourist attractions, large retail outlets and busy transport hubs, will necessarily have public protection measures such as fire safety high on their agenda. This is required by law in the UK by virtue of the Regulatory Reform (Fire Safety) Order 2005 in England and Wales; the Fire (Scotland) Act 2005; Fire Safety (Scotland) Regulations 2006; the Fire and Rescue Services (Northern Ireland) Order 2006, Part 3; and the Fire Safety Regulations (Northern Ireland) 2010.
