IT IS nearly four years since the major flooding incident on the Somerset Levels during the winter of 2013/14. At the time, Devon and Somerset Fire and Rescue Service (DSFRS) worked with partner agencies for two months to help the communities cut off by the water. Since then, the service, alongside all the organisations involved, has learned lessons from the event and is playing its part to make sure everyone is well prepared for any future incidents.
