Mansfield landlord prosecuted for safety breaches

JULIET PETROVIC, a buy-to-let landlord in Mansfield, has had to pay more than £6,000 after breaching fire, electrical, and gas safety rules at an HMO property. Appearing at Nottingham Magistrates' Court on 31 August, Mrs Petrovic pleaded guilty to three counts of failing to provide gas and electrical safety certificates when requested, and letting out a property which lacked the essential fire safety measures required for an HMO. Mrs Petrovic was fined £3,500, with an additional £2,500 in costs and a victim surcharge of £181.
