RESIDENTS OF Samuel Garside House, next to the block in Barking, east London, which caught fire last month, are concerned about returning to homes 'they believe are unsafe' even after seeing fire risk assessments (FRAs). In June, it was reported that residents in the same estate as the fire, which destroyed 20 flats, claimed that prior concerns over fire safety 'have been ignored'. In the fire at the Barking Riverside Estate, attended by 100 firefighters and 15 appliances, one six storey block caught fire destroying 20 homes and damaging ten others. Two people were treated for smoke inhalation.
