WELCOME TO the September 2019 issue of F&RM, which this month focuses on the responsible person, enforcement and intervention, and forensic investigations. As the recent call for evidence for the Regulatory Reform (Fire Safety) Order 2005 and the consultation on the government's plans for building safety have shown, there appears to be an appetite at the highest level to make the changes the sector has been demanding. So much of what makes up our fire related legislation at this time concerns the responsible person, and the enforcement and intervention that can arise when companies and individuals do not follow the rules.
