Schott Optovance sees new opportunities for VCSEL transceiver

Schott Optovance's 2-D VCSEL transceiver interconnect serves two functions. First, to guide enough light between parallel transceivers, and second, it re-routes the channels as needed. The company has developed products from coupling optics for 2-D VCSEL transceivers that are completely integrated into the transceiver package to VCSEL transceiver interconnects which serve as the actual fiber management from transceiver to transceiver(s).
