Phaethon Communications debuts 40 Gbps ClearSpectrum dispersion compensators for polarization mode dispersion and chromatic dispersion

Phaethon Communications introduced the first 40 Gbps members of its ClearSpectrum family of dispersion compensators: the ClearSpectrum Polarization Mode Dispersion (PMD) Compensator for 40 Gbps networks and the ClearSpectrum Chromatic Dispersion (CD) Compensator for 40 Gbps networks. Each of these two products addresses a serious obstacle to the practical, affordable operation of optical networks at next-generation 40 Gbps speeds.
