Ups and Downs

Since early May, the big European markets have lost almost 10% of their value. In contrast, America's Dow Jones Industrial Average has fallen by only 5%, whilst the Chinese CLSA index gained 5.8%. Industrial production estimates have been revised upwards for most countries, whereas GDP forecasts remained unchanged for most countries.
