The Hong Kong Marine Department's latest quarterly figures for services between Hong Kong and Macau confirm a return to the traditional year on year increases in traffic. However, the two biggest operators, Turbojet and Cotai-Jet, have both admitted that trading conditions remained challenging during the first half of 2010.rnNew developmentsrnBetween January and December 2009 there was a rare fall in passenger traffic at the same time that the number of services increased as CotaiJet introduced more catamarans. Traffic fell by 5.7% to 17,521,000 passengers.
