摘要

To provide a unique and easy to use on-chip medium and high-frequency generators in a single chip, we intended to integrate both RC and LC oscillators with different frequencies on a single chip. By using this circuit, we can generate two different frequencies, one is 12MHz by using the RC oscillator and the other is 15GHz - 30GHz by using an LC oscillator. Digital compensation techniques are used in the RC oscillator to improve noise performance and reduce power consumption. Global foundries 45nm CMOS technology is utilized to realize low phase noise LC VCO IC. Proposed LC VCO consumes a power of 3mW. The RC oscillator power consumption is 12.8μW. These on-chip RC and LC oscillators are fabricated in 45nm.
