Shipbuilders in Korea have dismissed concerned voices - such as that of the Korea Institute for Industrial Economics and Trade - calling for restraint and warning of a possible crash in newbuilding prices. Such worries are mainly the result of China's huge expansion of facilities.rn"Newbuilding demand has entered the super cycle," asserts Kim Chang-soo, GM of sales and planning at Hyundai HI, the world's biggest shipbuilder. Owners are demanding early building slots, Kim said, but Hyundairncan only offer some berths for deliveries in the second-half of 2011.
