Bullish sentiment bucks up bunker prices

Bunker prices in major trading hubs were firmer this week as bullish fundamentals gave support to higher price levels. There was also some unexpected convergence between prices in these ports.rnThe trading week in Singapore saw benchmark bunker grade IF0380 open the week with a fall of over $10/tonne on Monday to $231/tonne. But this fall was pulled back as over $20 was added to the price with the grade on Friday at $254/tonne.rnDespite this apparent volatility in prices, the year so far has seen fuel prices in Singapore move between a low of $230 and a high - in early January - of about $290/tonne.
