Although gas turbine propulsion systems are likely to dominate the US and UK market, the DGE system is already establishing its place in the fast evolving LNG trades. The first of two DGE-powered 153,500m~3 ships (provisionally named N32) is due for delivery by Chantiers de 1'Atlantique to Gaz de France (GdF) at the end of the year, and the three-man team leading the project were on hand at LNG 14 to offer insight into this groundbreaking project.
