Mobile ballast treatment from Damen

Netherlands-based shipbuilder Damen Shipyards Group has announced a novel ballast treatment system that can be installed on the deck of a vessel or, for one-offuse, brought alongside either by truck or barge. The InvaSave 300 self-contained system is housed in a standard 40ft container and has -as its name suggests - a treatment capacity of 300m~3/hr. When greater capacity is required, two or more systems can be used simultaneously. The system employs continuous filtration and low-pressure UV.
