摘要

The government put back the deadline for responses to the NBN RFP to 12 weeks beyond delivery of necessary network Information; Macquarie Group, TransAct and the Tasmanian Government stumped up the $5m NBN RFP entry fee; and Optus released a report in support of structural separation, Just after Exchange went to press on 22 May communications minister Stephen Conroy caved in to pressure from would be bidders for the National Broadband Network saying the July 25 deadline would be extended to a date 12 weeks beyond that on which all required network information becomes available. He confirmed, as TERRiA had claimed, that the information from Telstra was insufficient, but did not suggest that Telstra was being deliberately unco-operative, saying: "Telstra has provided some network information however despite its best efforts some information is not yet available."
