NBN Co awards TE Connectivity (Krone) $400m contract for connectivity products

NBN Co has selected TE Connectivity to supply network connectivity products for Its network with a contract worth approximately $400 million over five years. The Initial purchase commitment is for $100 million. TE Connectivity, better known to Australians as Krone, will supply patch cords, feeder cables, drop cables, splice closures, multi-port terminals and other components needed to build the national broadband network (NBN). The equipment will be used in NBN Co's Second Release sites and subsequent national rollout. The contract win follows TE Connectivity's and ADC's successful supply of passive optical equipment in the first release sites.
