EU exec suspends CEFIC from lobby register

The European Commission has decided to suspend the European Chemical Industry Council (CEEIC) from the lobby register for eight weeks on the grounds that it provided "apparently under-estimated" information on its expenditure, thereby violating rule No 4 of the code of conduct. The Commission has invited CEFIC to provide an "acceptable" statement bv the end of this period. The General Secretariat in charge of the register will re-examine the dossier.
