EP votes 'yes' on financing energy investments in housing

The European Parliament agreed, on 2 April, to the revision of the European Regional Development Fund (ERDF) regulation to allow co-financing in all the member states of energy efficiency investments in housing.rnThe European Commission presented the proposal in December 2008, along with other proposed amendments to Structural Fund regulations to facilitate investments under EU Cohesion Policy, which were also endorsed by the EP, on 2 April.rnAll the measures form part of the European economic recovery plan. They are expected to be adopted by the Council soon since the two institutions are on the same wavelength on this issue.
