On 25 November, the entire 'industry' section of the Competitiveness Council was dedicated to the European Commis sion's latest flagship initiative, 'An inte grated industrial policy for the globalisa tion era', eclipsing the other items on the agenda (the other flagship initiative 'Inno vation Union' and reports on the competi tiveness of the EU and its member states). While the majority of delegations present expressed great interest in this communi cation, as Walloon Minister for the Econ omy Jean-Claude Marcourt, who chaired the session, claimed, concerns were also raised regarding industrial policy.
