MEPs angry over EFSA chair renewal

Three MEPs from three different political parties expressed their disapproval, on 21 October, of the re-election of Diana Banati as head of the European Food Safety Authority (EFSA) Management Board, despite conflict-of-interest charges levelled at the association. According to Jose Bove (Greens-EFA, France), Marc Tarabella (S&D, Belgium) and Corinne Lepage (ALDE, France), this decision proves that the EFSA is still heavily biased towards industrialists.
