Tumble drier and hoover efficiency up for discussion

Member state representatives in the European Commission-managed Ecode-sign Regulatory Committee discussed, on 25 June, ecodesign and energy labelling measures for domestic tumble driers and vacuum cleaners. Ahead of the consultation meeting, environmentalists were complaining of incomplete and unambitious proposals made by the Commission to member states in order to boost energy efficiency.
