Synopsis of public consultation transmitted to Council

The European Commission has recently transmitted to the EU fisheries ministers a 'rough' document, without comments, that sums up the views submitted during the public consultation on reform of the Common Fisheries Policy (CFP). The document' was supposed to serve as the basis for the Council's debate, on 19 April in Luxembourg. However, with the Council's cancellation due to the closure of European ai space, the debate had to be postponed. It took place on 2 and 3 May in La Coruna - a conference with stakeholders - and on 4 and 5 May in Vigo - the informal Fisheries Council.
