Debate focuses on policy reform

Postponed due to the volcanic eruption and the ensuing travel chaos, the debate on reform of the Common Fisheries Policy (CFP), which should have begun at the 19 April Council session, was launched by the Spanish EU Presidency, first with stakeholders on 2 and 3 May in La Coruna, and then with ministers, in Vigo on 4 and 5 May.rnIn both cases, the work was based on the synopsis of the public consultation drawn up by the European Commission.
