EU needs common investment policy

What, in your view, are the main advantages of the introduction of a common EU investment policy? Creating an investment policy at EU level is a great opportunity for the Commission, in close collaboration with the Parliament and the member states, to establish a new framework that meets the requirements of a globalised world. Bilateral treaties were negotiated by member states at a time when European exporters were dominant, and were seeking extensive protection in foreign markets.
