New rules for imports from Greenland

Greenland will be allowed to sell its fish, fishery products, live bivalve molluscs, echinoderms, tunicates, marine gastropods and by-products, such as fishmeal, in the European Union provided it applies EU public health regulations and complies with EU animal health and food safety requirements. The European Parliament, with its adoption in plenary on 6 April (652 to 19 and two abstentions) of a resolution drafted by Carmen Fraga Estevez (EPP, Spain), endorsed the agreement on sanitary conditions for import of marine products concluded between the EU and Greenland.
