Brussels hosts Sustainable Energy Week

The EU Sustainable Energy Week (EUSEW 2011), from 11 to 15 April, saw over 600 events in all 27 EU states as well as 17 European and African countries showcasing, promoting and discussing energy efficiency and renewable energy. EUSEW is organised by the Executive Agency for Competitiveness and Innovation (EACI) on behalf of DG Energy. The highlight was a three-day policy conference organised by the European Commission in Brussels, on 12-14 April. Another prime-time moment was the now annual awards ceremony, on 12 April. Over 300 initiatives were competing in this year's competition.
