EFSA under fire again for alleged conflict of interests

Corporate Europe Observatory (CEO), a research group that campaigns for transparency in the EU institutions, sent a letter, on 4 March, to the Director of the European Food Safety Authority (EFSA), Catherine Geslain-Laneelle, and to Health and Consumer Affairs Commissioner John Dalli to denounce links with the food industry of four members of the authority's Management Board. CEO sees these ties as a conflict of interests harmful to the credibility of EFSA's opinions.
