Opposition to the EU applying its cap on greenhouse gas emissions to non-EU air lines shows no sign of relenting in the US, although the EU has some supporters too. While lawmakers and administration offi cials are trying to avoid US airlines having to comply with EU emission standards, US environmental groups are criticising this stance and accuse the US airline industry of propagating a campaign of misinforma tion about what the EU is doing.
