Consumer confidence falling in EU

The number of EU citizens who felt adequately protected as consumers fell in 2012, according to the 2013 'Consumer conditions Scoreboard', published by the European Commission, on 23 July. The document showsthat there was a fall in consumer confidence between 2011 and 2012 (55% in 2012 compared with 58% in 2011), as well as an increase in the use of redress.
