As announced even before the end of the December 2012 Fisheries Council, the European Parliament will not accept the Council's decision to split up regulatory texts on long-term fisherires management plans. This way of proceeding is rejected by the assembly, which expressed its disapproval by indefinitely postponing again, on 16 January, the vote on the report by Pat the Cope Gallagher (ALDE, Ireland) on the draft regulation prolonging certain technical measures for the conservation of fishery resources.
