Introducing a group psychotherapy into a mental health community

In this article, the authors describe the preparations for introducing a psychotherapy group into a therapeutic community for seriously disturbed adolescents and young adults. They show how, rather than introducing a pre-prepared group setting, they constructed it gradually in collaboration with all the staff members of the community as well as with the guests who were present in the structure. They also describe the specificity of this group due to the type of structure and to the methods used for its construction. The authors believe that this process allowed for the creation of a ‘space’ and a group mentality even before the group itself started working. In diesem Artikel beschreiben die Autoren die Vorbereitung für die Einführung einer Psychotherapiegruppe in eine therapeutische Gemeinschaft für ernshaft psychisch gestörte Jugendliche und junge Erwachsene. Sie zeigen anstatt der Einführung eines vorgefertigten Settings, wie sie es allmählich unter Mitwirkung aller Operatöre der Gemeinschaft, sowie mit den Gästen, die anwesend waren, konstruiert haben. Sie beschreiben auch die Spezifität dieser Gruppe auf Grund des Strukturtyps und der Methoden, die für ihre Konstruktion angewandt wurden. Die Autoren glauben, dass dieser Prozess die Erschaffung eines “Raums” und einer Gruppenmentalität ermöglichte, sogar bevor die Gruppe selbst anfing statt zu finden. Muestran cómo en lugar de introducir un esquema de trabajo previamente elaborado, el marco de trabajo se construyó gradualmente en colaboración con todos los operadores de la comunidad, así como también con los integrantes pertenecientes a la estructura. También describen la especificidad de este grupo en razón del tipo de estructura y de los métodos utilizados en su construcción. Los autores piensan que este proceso permitió la creación de un espacio y una mentalidad de grupo inclusive antes de que el grupo en sí comenzara a trabajar como tal. Essi dimostrano come, piuttosto che introdurre un’impostazione di gruppo pre-organizzato, ciò si costituisca gradualmente in collaborazione con tutti gli operatori della Comunità come pure con gli ospiti presenti nella struttura stessa. Essi descrivono anche la specificità di questo gruppo a causa di un tipo di struttura e i metodi utilizzati per la sua costruzione. Gli autori ritengono che questo processo abbia permesso la creazione di uno “spazio” e una mentalità di gruppo ancor prima che il gruppo stesso abbia iniziato a lavorare. Ils montrent qu’au lieu d’introduire un dispositif groupal pré-préparé, ils le construisent graduellement en collaboration avec tous les acteurs de la communauté, ainsi qu’avec les invités alors présents dans la structure. Ils décrivent également la spécificité de ce groupe au regard du type de structure et des méthodes utilisées pour son élaboration.
