摘要

From very simple examples, a mathematical analysis of stall flutter for test models in wind tunnels is suggested in this paper. The goal is to furnish a method, from steady state tests, to detect the possibility and the magnitude of induced vibrations. Interest is focused on the safety of wind tunnel tests for aircrafts or airfoils at large angles of attack. Some extensions to engineering structures are also discussed at the end of the paper. In this case stall flutter is coupled with galoping.
