摘要

The politics of the Internet covers a broad range of topics and issues, and this handbook reflects that range with over 30 chapters covering, among other things, uses of the Internet in election campaigns, electoral web production, e-government, online political engagement, digital citizenship, political identity and the Internet, the politics of protocols and questions of surveillance and control. Chapters are organized around the themes of political institutions, political behaviour, political identities and law and policy, while links are made throughout to established theories of political communication, governance, deliberative democracy and social movements. The book will help consolidate and further shape the study of Internet politics as a field of work.
