In memoriam Karol Jakubowicz

Karol Jakubowicz, whose death at the age of 71 occurred earlier this Summer, was a central figure in both the formation and study of media policy in Europe, following the demise of the Soviet Union and consequent change in Eastern and Central Europe. His professional career had been spent as a journalist, academic and as a leading figure in the management and supervision of Polish Television.
