Basic principles for structural control

摘要

The paper inserts in the frame of structural control principles, thus considering some theoretical features of control strategies to be applied to civil structures. An overview of some new concepts and approaches in the specific field of mitigation of structural vibration is presented; three different lines of attack in the field of nonlinear structural control are outlined.
