Nuclear Power Plant Loviisa 3

The Loviisa 3 project includes the Decision-in-Principle application concerning a nuclear power plant unit with a light water reactor of 2,800 to 4,600 MW thermal power to be built on the island of Hasthol-men in Loviisa in the area owned by Fortum Power and Heat Oy and zoned for the purpose. According to preliminary plans, the new nuclear power plant unit can be in use in 2020 and the unit's designed operating lifetime is at least 60 years.
