Energy Storage Groups Cooperate

The German Energy Storage Association (BVES) and the India Energy Storage Alliance (IESA) announced the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) to work together to advance the energy storage industry in both Germany and India. According to Prof. Dr. Eicke R. Weber, President of the BVES »lndia is one of the most rapidly emerging markets with a clear perspective towards increasing the contribution of renewable energy in the energy mix. This has to be accompanied by the availability of low-cost reliable storage systems. Dr. Rahul Walawalkar, Executive Director, IESA, agrees that collaboration between these two groups will benefit a wide range of stakeholders. »Through this agreement and others, the IESA will promote the benefits of storage technologies through education initiates and awareness campaigns.
