Instrumentation solutions to the pipe monitoring are in demand because they are important both during the network construction as well as for a long-term operation of the networks. Brandes offers network carriers as well as installation companies new products for the condition evaluation of thermal insulated piping. These include the mobile inspection system BS-MH4, with which the results of the measurements can be assigned geographically, and the more developed mobile Echoguard location technology for nordic systems. The mobile inspection system BS-MH4 in its range of technical functions stands out against preceding and comparable measuring and testing sets. Past devices are essentially limited to the measurement of MH-values (insulation resistances), loop lengths as well as of stray effects and electrolytic effects, the BS-MH4 (figure 1) makes the geographical location possible from the results of measurement by collection of longitudinal and latitudinal measurements by GPS.
