Geothermal Power Station in Operation

摘要

On 30th January 2014, the largest geothermal power plant in Germany, located south of Munich, was put into operation. With this project, the public utilities of Munich (Stadtwerke Muenchen) set a positive signal for the sustainable use of renewable energies. The heating and power station in Sauerlach generates green electricity for some 16,000 households. Moreover, it provides households with eco-friendly thermal energy. The project sets a milestone in the development of renewable energy.
