Improvement of the Market Incentive Programme for Renewable Heating

The German Federal Ministry for the Environment, Nature Conservation and Nuclear Safety published its new Market Incentive Programme (MAP) for renewable heating with improved eligibility conditions for the promotion of solar thermal systems. It entered into force on 1 April. For Solar thermal the major changes are: 1. Increase in subsidies regarding systems for space heating to €2,000 instead of €1,500. Larger systems, with a minimum collector area of more than 14 m~2, receive €140 m~2 instead of the previous €90 m~2.
