Modeling of Combined Heat and Power Plants

Institute of Heat Engineering, Warsaw University of Technology, Warsaw/ Poland Dynamically changing prices of electricity and fuels, together with new thermal energy storage possibilities, make the problem of optimal production scheduling at CHP plants much more complicated. It is necessary to consider long periods of time at once and simulate operation of the CHP plant in different configurations. Simple but reliable models of particular production units are needed.
