Water, Place, and Equity

摘要

In the context of global climate change, continued population growth, and increased development in arid regions, the editors of Water, Place, and Equity argue that water will play a prominent role in future resource policy making. The contributors to this volume assert that water problems are primarily social and political phenomena and they utilize rich case studies to describe the failures of water policy and to introduce equity as a vital criterion in water access, allocation, and development decisions.
