Kinetic Analytical Method for Determination of Age of Natural Crude Oils

By kinetic measurements with the mo- del polymerization of styrene (for alkyl radicals) as well as the model oxidation of cumene (for alkylperoxy radicals), it is possi- ble to determine the content and inhibition rate constants of the natural inhibitors in crude oils. The obtained values of the inhibit- ting activity correlate with the age of the cru- de oil determined by the radiological me- thod. For illustration experimental data of some oils are given. Total inhibiting activity is pre- sented for the oils Neftyanye Kamni (Oil Stones, Pliocene) and Bombay High Cru- De (Pleistocene).
