The Future of the Environmental Protection Agency

The year is 2010 and middle age is creeping up on the Environmental Protection Agency. At 40 years old, the Agency has attained a certain status after finally being elevated to cabinet level. It now focuses on two main areas: environmental research and environmental management. The research component includes large parts of the former National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration and two former Department of Energy laboratories. Management is organized along functional lines and has undergone the most substantial change.
