Major infrastructure projects: where are we now?

While the changes made by and following the LA 2011 are welcomed, and improve the process, in reality they appear to be largely tinkering at the edges of the PA 2008 procedure which, it is suggested, requires a more radical reappraisal. The bureaucracy and complexity of the procedure are not conducive to easy access by the general public and are not beneficial to applicants; the jury is still out on whether it represents a preferable solution to the general planning or TWA procedure.
