It is probably fair to say that in most areas of environmental law, one book has become the 'standard' or 'must have' text on the subject that we all have on our bookshelf, whether we use it as a point of first or occasional reference or rely on it as a bit of a 'bible'. This book may change as new offerings come along, and there is of course the inevitable and frustrating cycle of books becoming progressively more out of date as the year of publication recedes into the past and new enactments and case law come along.
