Miniature windmill is fit to charge a phone

A micro-windmill that generates wind energy could become an innovative solution to cell phone batteries that constantly need recharging and other energy harvesting applications. Researcher Smitha Rao and electrical engineering professor J C Chiao from the University of Texas at Arlington designed and built the device that is about 1.8mm at its widest point. A single grain of rice could hold about 10 of these tiny windmills.
