Project will test the security of CCS stores

The Energy Technologies Institute is to run a project to test how secure sub-sea storage is for the carbon dioxide that is captured in CCS schemes. The ETI has already launched a demonstration capture project targeting pre-combustion CO_2 capture from coal, and is commissioning a second capture project on post-combustion capture from gas-fired plant.
